Ultrahigh-density 3D holographic projection by scattering-assisted dynamic holography

Panpan Yu et al.

Summary: Computer-generated holography shows potential for 3D video displays. However, current digital holographic techniques suffer from low axial resolution and high inter-plane crosstalk, limiting depth control and image quality. This study introduces 3D scattering-assisted dynamic holography (3D-SDH), which overcomes these limitations and enables high-density 3D holographic projection with improved resolution and reduced crosstalk. The concept is validated through simulations and experiments, demonstrating dynamic projections with fine depth control and polarization multiplexing functionalities.

Review of computer-generated hologram algorithms for color dynamic holographic three-dimensional display

Dapu Pi et al.

Summary: Holographic three-dimensional display is an important technique that provides depth information without special eyewear. Computer-generated holograms have emerged as the most promising method for holographic display, but face challenges such as heavy computation burden and low image quality. Researchers have explored various algorithms to overcome these problems and achieve color dynamic holographic three-dimensional display.

Speedy light focusing through scattering media by a cooperatively FPGA-parameterized genetic algorithm

Shu Guo et al.

Summary: This study developed an accelerated Genetic Algorithm (GA) system based on FPGA and optimized parameters, enabling fast light focusing through scattering media. By manipulating the mutation rate and defining a convergence-efficiency function, the GA was able to converge faster while maintaining applicable light focusing. The system programmed in FPGA achieved light focusing 150 times faster than the PC-based GA, with the potential for further improvement in processing speed.

Speckleless color dynamic three-dimensional holographic display based on complex amplitude modulation

Dapu Pi et al.

Summary: A method to implement speckleless color dynamic three-dimensional holographic display by modulating amplitude and phase distribution simultaneously is proposed in this paper. Computer-generated holograms with initial uniform phase are used to suppress speckle noise effectively in reconstructed images. Both numerical simulations and optical experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the method, showing speckleless reconstruction and providing a good color dynamic display effect.
