Position-dependent chiral coupling between single quantum dots and cross waveguides

Shan Xiao et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated position-dependent chiral coupling between quantum dots and cross waveguides, with the potential to achieve directional emission and position measurement by placing the quantum dots accordingly. This opens up new possibilities for applications in quantum optical networks at the single-photon level.

Enhanced emission from a single quantum dot in a microdisk at a deterministic diabolical point

Jingnan Yang et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates controllable cavity modes by controlling backscattering of two identical scatterers, observing periodic changes in coupling between degenerate cavity modes and investigating mode degeneracy at diabolical points. Enhanced emission of a quantum dot is achieved with a six-fold intensity increase at a diabolical point in a microdisk. This method allows for large-scale integration, high reproducibility, and flexible design of scatterers for integrated photonic structures with scatterer-modified light-matter interaction.
