Medium and low frequency fiber Bragg grating acceleration sensor based on single-sided single-arc hinge

Min Shao et al.

Summary: This study designs and demonstrates a medium and low frequency fiber Bragg grating (FBG) based acceleration sensor with a single-axis single-arc hinge-shaped sensitization structure. The theoretical formula for the sensor's resonance frequency and sensitivity is provided, and the stress distribution, characteristic frequency, and amplitude frequency characteristics of the sensor are simulated and optimized. Experimental results show that the sensor has a resonance frequency of 630 Hz, a flat frequency range of 30-300 Hz, and an acceleration sensitivity of 57.77 pm/g. The sensor exhibits high sensitivity, a wide flat frequency range, and strong transverse anti-interference ability, meeting the requirements for acceleration detection in the petroleum exploration field.
