Aluminum-doped zinc oxide nanorods and methyl alcohol gas sensor application

Yi-Hsing Liu et al.

Summary: This paper mainly discusses the properties of aluminum-doped zinc oxide nanorods grown by hydrothermal method with low temperature. The conductive properties of the zinc oxide nanorods were changed by adding chemical substances, and their surface morphology, element content, internal structure, and optical properties were further observed. The experimental results showed that, under methyl alcohol surroundings, the aluminum-doped zinc oxide nanorods sensor was more sensitive than the pure zinc oxide nanorods sensor.

A hybrid random laser using dye with self-organized GaN nanorods

W. Maryam et al.

Summary: Self-organized GaN nanorods were used as scattering centers for random lasing by incorporating Rhodamine 6G liquid dye solutions as the gain media. The lasing threshold was found to depend on the nanorod density and diameter, but not the nanorod height. Lasing emission was observed at multiple angles, indicating random lasing.

SiO2 Capped-ZnO nanorods for enhanced random laser emission

Abdullah Taha Ali et al.

Summary: This study focused on enhancing UV random lasing emissions using SiO2 capped Zinc Oxide nanorod array, resulting in a significant increase in lasing emission intensity. The best sample with 100 nm of SiO2 capping exhibited superior lasing performance, almost completely suppressing the spontaneous emission peak.

Stimulated Emission in Vertically Aligned Hexagonal ZnO Microcrystals Synthesized by Magnetron Sputtering Method

Andrey P. Tarasov et al.

Summary: This study investigates the luminescence and stimulated emission properties of a ZnO hybrid structure. The structure exhibits conventional near-UV and green luminescence under low-intensity continuous photoexcitation, indicating high structural and optical quality. Under pulsed photoexcitation with relatively high intensity, stimulated emission is observed in the near-UV region of the structure.
