Artificial neural networking (ANN) analysis for heat and entropy generation in flow of non-Newtonian fluid between two rotating disks

Tie-Hong Zhao et al.

Summary: Mixed convection is a heat transport mechanism in thermodynamic systems that involves the motion of fluid particles influenced by both gravity and external forces. This study focuses on the mixed convective flow of Ree-Eyring fluid between two rotating disks, considering the effects of porosity and velocity slip. The energy equation is modeled with various factors such as heat generation/absorption, dissipation, radiative heat flux, and Joule heating. The results obtained are compared with previous studies, showing good agreement. Interesting physical phenomena such as skin friction and heat transfer are also numerically calculated.

Radiative flow of nanofluid past a convected vertical Riga plate with activation energy and nonlinear heat generation

Awatif Alhowaity et al.

Summary: This article presents an analysis of the radiative flow of nanofluid past a convected vertical Riga plate with activation energy and nonlinear heat generation. The effects of various factors on the velocity, temperature, and concentration profiles are investigated, and it is found that the speed of the fluid can be controlled by adjusting the separation of magnets and electrodes, the concentration of nanofluid is enhanced in the presence of activation energy, and the temperature of the fluid decreases with the nonlinear exponential index parameter of heat generation. Additionally, the presence of thermal radiation, viscous dissipation, and nonlinear heat generation increases the Nusselt number by an average of about 11.3%.

Summary: In this study, the unsteady stagnation flow of a Maxwell fluid over a linearly stretching sheet under the influence of a magnetic field is analyzed using the homotopy analysis method. The impact of key physical parameters on velocity, concentration, and temperature is illustrated through graphs. Results indicate that higher unsteadiness parameter and melting heat coefficient lead to a decrease in velocity and temperature of the nanofluid, while the velocity slip parameter reduces the velocity profile and boundary layer thickness of the Maxwell nanofluid.
