The AMS system at Tianjin University was installed in 2017 and is now in routine operations. Measurement and analysis have been completed for more than 500 samples of 10Be from different scientific fields. The method of 10Be measurement has been optimized and developed to reduce equipment risk during experiments.
The AMS system at Tianjin University with a nominal terminal voltage of 500 kV was installed in 2017. After the initial testing and commissioning phase, the facility is now in routine operations. For 10Be, the most challenging nuclide of our repertoire, measurement and analysis have been completed for more than 500 samples from different scientific fields. However, the measurement method of 10Be has to be optimized and developed due to the fact that originally the accelerator had to operate, in each measurement, at 600 kV, the extreme upper limit of its terminal voltage. For this reason, a series of measures have been taken in order to further optimize the 10Be measurement method and to reduce the risk to the equipment during the experiment. In this contribution, the improvements in the setup and the experimental procedures will be briefly introduced.
