Automated Annotation of Epileptiform Burden and Its Association with Outcomes

Sahar F. Zafar et al.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the dose-response relation between epileptiform activity burden and outcomes in acutely ill patients. By analyzing EEG data from nearly 2000 patients, the study found an independent association between peak epileptiform burden and poor outcomes. Machine learning methods were effective in evaluating the impact of epileptiform activity burden on outcomes.
