Hierarchical Deep Click Feature Prediction for Fine-Grained Image Recognition

Jun Yu et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a method to predict the click feature of an image from visual features by integrating sparse constraints and an improved RELU operator. The method learns from an auxiliary image dataset containing click information to discover the hierarchy of word semantics. Experimental results show that the method achieves higher recognition accuracy, larger compression ratio, and good one-shot learning ability and scalability to unseen categories.

Interactive Sequential Basket Recommendation by Learning Basket Couplings and Positive/Negative Feedback

Wei Wang et al.

Summary: The article introduces a new interactive sequential basket recommendation setting, which iteratively predicts next baskets by learning the couplings between intra-/inter-basket items and positive/negative user feedback. The hierarchical attentive encoder-decoder model (HAEM) continuously recommends next baskets by analyzing item relations within and between baskets, and incorporating user feedback to refine NBRS. Empirical analysis shows that HAEM significantly outperforms existing baselines for accurate and novel recommendation.

The World is Binary: Contrastive Learning for Denoising Next Basket Recommendation

Yuqi Qin et al.

Summary: This paper introduces CLEA, a Contrastive Learning Model that performs item-level denoising for next basket recommendation. By using Gumbel Softmax, a denoising generator is designed to determine whether each item in a historical basket is relevant to the target item. A novel two-stage anchor-guided contrastive learning process is then used to guide relevance learning without item-level supervision, achieving better recommendation performance than existing alternatives.

Session centered Recommendation Utilizing Future Contexts in Social Media

Sanjeev Dhawan et al.

Summary: The system employs a novel encoder decoder prototype named SRec which utilizes a space filling approach to incorporate future information and improve recommendation quality. By utilizing a convolutional neural network (CNN) for efficiency and accuracy, the system can predict missing items based on incomplete sequences, tested on real world datasets, and including short, medium and long sequences.
