ZnO nanoparticle-grafted PLA thermoplastic composites for 3D printing applications: Tuning of thermal, mechanical, morphological and shape memory effect

Summary: Zinc oxide-grafted polymers have shown great potential for 3D printed biosensors due to their antibacterial properties, magnetic behavior, crystallinity, thermal conductivity, and binding energy. This study investigated the fabrication of feedstock filaments using ZnO nanoparticles grafted with polylactic acid (PLA). The results showed that incorporating ZnO in PLA led to the formation of responsive and mechanically strong composites with shape memory effects, making it a suitable candidate for 3D printing applications.

Nondestructive Direct Photolithography for Patterning Quantum Dot Films by Atomic Layer Deposition of ZnO

Probing defects and their implications in pH-controlled ZnO QDs: a theory-aided experimental investigation

Perovskite-structured LaCoO3 modified ZnO gas sensor and investigation on its gas sensing mechanism by first principle

Bipolar self-doping in ultra-wide bandgap spinel ZnGa2O4

Summary: Spinel zinc gallate is a ternary ultra-wide bandgap oxide semiconductor with the largest bandgap (-5eV), offering promise for deep UV optoelectronics and ultra-high power electronics by controlling its intrinsic conductivity and polarity through growth processes. The material exhibits unique self-doping capability among emerging ultra-wide bandgap semiconductors, extending its application at the forefront of current energy optoelectronics.

Fabrication of Rectification Nanosensors by Direct Current Dielectrophoresis Alignment of ZnO Nanowires

Summary: This study demonstrates the fabrication and characterization of ZnO nanowire-based devices using direct current dielectrophoresis alignment between Au electrodes. The rectifying properties of the devices are influenced by asymmetric Joule heating, leading to the formation of Schottky contact at the Au/ZnO interface and achieving fast and sensitive photoresponse under UV illumination. Such a method shows potential for fabricating rectification devices for sensitive and fast UV detecting sensors.

Ultra-stable ZnO nanobelts in electrochemical environments
