Automatic stress detection in car drivers based on non-invasive physiological signals using machine learning techniques

Ali I. I. Siam et al.

Summary: Stress is a major cause of human health issues, however, many people ignore it until serious physiological and mental disorders occur. Heart rate and blood pressure are commonly used physiological markers to detect mental stress, and this study proposes a method to identify mental stress in automotive drivers using selected biosignals. Six different machine learning models were used to classify stressed and relaxation states, and the RF classifier outperformed other techniques with a classification accuracy of 98.2%, sensitivity of 97%, and specificity of 100% using the drivedb dataset.

A New Reliable System For Managing Virtual Cloud Network

Samah Alshathri et al.

Summary: The usage of Virtual Cloud Network (VCN) is becoming popular in organizations due to its safety and cost-saving benefits. However, managing VCN in the cloud computing environment can be challenging, with issues such as power consumption, network failures, and data availability. In this paper, a new system called Multi-User Hybrid Scheduling (MUSH) is proposed to address these issues and optimize the execution of workflows, considering deadline constraints and virtual machine utilization.

COVID-19 Mortality Risk Prediction Using X-Ray Images

J. Prada et al.

Summary: The COVID-19 pandemic has caused significant impacts on health, economy, and society, while the use of machine learning techniques, especially deep learning, has become increasingly popular. This research focuses on building a prediction model to estimate the mortality risk of patients based on X-ray images and demographic data. By combining deep learning models with patient data, such as gender and age, as input features, the study aims to enhance prediction accuracy and achieve better results in mortality risk prediction compared to using a single convolutional neural network model.
