Medical Students' Professional Identity Formation During Operation Bushmaster

Summary: This study examined how medical students conceptualized the roles of military medical officers during a medical field practicum. The results showed that the practicum helped the students develop a clear understanding of the complex roles of military medical officers and gave them confidence in fulfilling these roles in the future.

Interprofessional respect built through role adoption. MIPE's teaching methods provide developmental opportunities for team members and can be extended to include a collaborative-team-focus.
