Nanoparticle-enhanced in-line potentiometric ion sensor for point-of-care diagnostics for tropicamide abuse in biological fluid

Summary: This study developed a disposable miniaturized solid-state electrochemical sensor for rapid and accurate detection of tropicamide abuse in rat plasma. By optimizing the electrode and adding a polymer layer, selective detection of tropicamide and improved detection limit were achieved. The sensor demonstrated a quick response time and long lifetime, and it was successfully applied in pharmaceutical formulations and biological fluids.
