The resulting conjugate, tFIT-DPQ, showed a significant light-up response upon strong and structure-selective binding to the IAV RNA promoter region under physiological conditions. tFIT-DPQ can be used for sensitive and selective detection of IAV RNA and as a sensitive indicator for screening test compounds targeting the IAV RNA promoter region.

Synthesis and characterisation of N-gene targeted NIR-II fluorescent probe for selective localisation of SARS-CoV-2
