Performance of Building Solid Waste Powder in Cement Cementitious Material: A Review

Yongcheng Ji et al.

Summary: This article introduces the current research status of recycled powder (RP), including its source, activation mode, impact on the performance of cement-based materials, and its mechanism of action. The study also includes statistical analysis to obtain the mathematical model and correlation between RP content and the performance of cement-based materials, finding that the RP content has the most significant influence on the compressive strength of foamed concrete.

Fractal dimension analysis of aggregate packing process: A numerical case study on concrete simulation

Xu Yang et al.

Summary: The study analyzed and discussed the fractal dimension changes during the packing process of a packed particle system, showing that the fractal dimension fluctuated before major immobilization of large particles and became stable after inter-particle contact formation. The differences in fractal dimensions indicated the packed system had higher geometric complexity than the unpacked one, emphasizing the importance of distinguishing between models generated by random allocation and packed models for more realistic concrete simulation.

Experimental and Theoretical Prediction Model Research on Concrete Elastic Modulus Influenced by Aggregate Gradation and Porosity

Guohui Zhang et al.

Summary: The research demonstrates that aggregate gradation and porosity have a significant impact on the elastic modulus of concrete. The proposed model effectively estimates the elastic modulus of concrete. The elastic modulus decreases with increasing ITZ porosity, with a more pronounced decrease when ITZ porosity exceeds 40%. For a fixed overall porosity, ITZ porosity has a greater influence on the elastic modulus of concrete than mortar porosity.
