Hydrolytically stable mixed ditopic linker based zirconium metal organic framework as a robust photocatalyst towards Tetracycline Hydrochloride degradation and hydrogen evolution

Summary: In the existing eco-crisis, designing an efficient and water-stable photocatalyst for energy conversion and pollutant abatement is crucial. This study focuses on the utilization of a mixed linker type zirconium metal organic framework (Zr-MOF) as a single component photocatalyst for hydrogen energy production and Tetracycline Hydrochloride (TCH) degradation. The synthesized Zr-MOF exhibits enhanced photocatalytic performance compared to pristine Zr-MOFs, with improved hydrogen evolution and TCH degradation efficiency. The study also provides supporting evidence through various spectroscopic and electrochemical analyses.

Summary: Interface engineering is crucial for achieving high efficiency in heterojunction photocatalysts. In this study, multivariate all-solid-state Z-scheme TiO2@Ti3C2/MIS heterojunction composites were fabricated for enhanced photocatalytic applications. The optimized TiO2@Ti3C2/MIS-15 photocatalysts exhibited the highest photocatalytic degradation and hydrogen evolution compared to their pristine counterparts. The close interfacial interaction between MIS with Ti3C2 and TiO2 and the charge migration pathway between MIS and TiO2 were observed, leading to improved catalytic activity.

Mixed-Valence Bimetallic Ce/Zr MOF-Based Nanoarchitecture: A Visible-Light-Active Photocatalyst for Ciprofloxacin Degradation and Hydrogen Evolution

Summary: A mixed-valency bimetallic Ce/Zr MOF and an oxygen vacancy-rich single-component photocatalyst have been designed to utilize photons from the visible-light spectrum for green energy generation and CIP degradation. The bimetallic MOF showed enhanced photo-reaction output compared to the pristine MOF, leading to higher H-2 production rate and CIP degradation efficiency. Active species in the photo-redox reaction were confirmed to be OH center dot < O-2(center dot-) through tests, demonstrating the potential of the Ce/Zr MOF as a robust photocatalyst for CIP degradation and H-2 evolution.

Development of MgIn2S4 Microflower-Embedded Exfoliated B-Doped g-C3N4 Nanosheets: p-n Heterojunction Photocatalysts toward Photocatalytic Water Reduction and H2O2 Production under Visible-Light Irradiation

Summary: In recent years, the design of an efficient, cost-effective, and persistent photocatalyst to address major ongoing challenges has become a popular research topic. This study presents the development of microflower-like MgIn2S4 (MIS) through a simple hydrothermal method. MIS-modified exfoliated B-doped g-C3N4 (e-BCN) nanocomposites were synthesized and characterized, revealing a close interaction between MIS and e-BCN. The MIS/e-BCN composite with 10 wt% MIS exhibited the highest photocatalytic H-2 generation rate and H2O2 production efficiency.

Direct Z-scheme TiO2-ZnIn2S4 nanoflowers for cocatalyst-free photocatalytic water splitting

Bandgap Modulation in Zr-Based Metal-Organic Frameworks by Mixed-Linker Approach
