A simulation and experimental study on the deep drawing process of SPCC sheet using the graphical method

Summary: This study proposes a method for finite element simulation of deep drawing process of cold-rolled carbon steel sheet material based on the graphical method. Experimental tests were conducted to determine flow stress curves, and fracture points were calculated using modified maximum force criterion for special strain modes. The results of FE simulations showed good agreement with experimental measurements, with a maximum deviation of 3.6%, and investigated the effects of various parameters on fracture height.

Summary: A new method for predicting forming limit curves (FLCs) at elevated temperatures was proposed, improving the accuracy of FLC prediction at high temperatures through tensile tests at different temperatures and the establishment of mathematical relationships. The predicted FLCs at elevated temperatures were found to agree well with corresponding experimental data.

Investigation of the effect of blank holder force distribution on deep drawing using developed blank holder divided into double rings

Summary: A new double rings blank holder technique has been proposed in this paper, which can independently and effectively apply blank holder force on different flange regions, and it has been experimentally proven to be more reasonable and effective in suppressing wrinkles compared to a single blank holder. The distribution ratio of BHF and the boundary diameter of the two rings were found to have a significant influence on the effectiveness of the new blank holder technique.
