A measurement method of transverse light-shift in atomic spin co-magnetometer

Li Xing et al.

Summary: We disclose a method to obtain the transverse light-shift in a single-axis alkali metal-noble gas co-magnetometer, and demonstrate the reduction of the light-shift by optimizing the probe light wavelength. The stability of the co-magnetometer is improved by achieving low bias instability and rate ramp coefficient.

A nanocrystalline shield for high precision co-magnetometer operated in spin-exchange relaxation-free regime

Yang Fu et al.

Summary: This paper presents a low-noise nanocrystalline magnetic shield for SERF co-magnetometer. The transfer function model of the co-magnetometer to transverse magnetic noise was established, and the magnetic noise characteristics of nanocrystalline and other shielding materials were analyzed. Experimental results show that the nanocrystalline shield significantly decreases the signal noise and bias instability of the SERF co-magnetometer.

A novel low-noise Mu-metal magnetic shield with winding shape

Danyue Ma et al.

Summary: A novel magnetic shield structure with a winding shape was proposed in this study to increase shielding coefficient and reduce magnetic noise. Simulation results showed a 123% increase in DC shielding coefficient and a 47% decrease in magnetic noise compared to conventional structures. Experimental measurements confirmed the superiority of the proposed structure.

Optical rotation detection method based on acousto-optic modulation in an atomic spin co-magnetometer

Li Xing et al.

Summary: A new concept for probe light intensity stability control and high-frequency modulation based on acousto-optic modulation in a K-Rb-Ne-21 co-magnetometer is reported. The study achieved a high average rotation rate sensitivity and improved bias instability by combining closed-loop control of light intensity with high-frequency modulation. The innovative approach in design and modulation frequency testing showed potential for suppressing noise and enhancing long-term stability in angular velocity measurement.

High-sensitivity operation of a single-beam atomic magnetometer for three-axis magnetic field measurement

Junjian Tang et al.

Summary: An atomic magnetometer capable of measuring a three-axis magnetic field with high sensitivity has been developed using elliptically polarized light. By optimizing key parameters, the magnetometer achieves sensitivity levels of 20 fT/Hz(1/2) in the x-axis, 25 fT/Hz(1/2) in the y-axis, and 30 fT/Hz(1/2) in the z-axis, making it suitable for non-invasive bio-magnetic imaging applications.
