Testing the mechanism of lepton compositeness

Vincenzo Afferrante et al.

Summary: Research shows that physical left-handed leptons are actually bound states of elementary left-handed lepton doublet and Higgs field, behaving almost like pure elementary particles. The Frohlich-Morchio-Strocchi mechanism has been tested and confirmed for fermions using lattice gauge theory. However, due to the current inaccessibility of non-Abelian gauged Weyl fermions on the lattice, a model containing vectorial leptons obeying relevant symmetries has been simulated.
