Optimal temperature and Mn content for enhancing optical properties and inducing room temperature ferromagnetism of Mn doped In2O3 nanocubes

M. A. Awad et al.

Summary: In this study, undoped and Mn doped In2O3 nanostructures were synthesized using chemical vapor deposition technique. The effects of temperature on oxygen content, doping level, and various properties were investigated. The results showed that Mn doping enhanced the growth of In2O3 and reduced strain and dislocation density while increasing grain sizes. Optical analysis revealed a decrease in transmission and optical band gap values, and an increase in refractive index values with increasing Mn content. The magnetic response study identified the optimal temperature and Mn content for inducing room temperature ferromagnetism.

A flexible resistive switching device for logical operation applications in wearable systems

S. Zhu et al.

Summary: Memristor, as an emerging micro/nano device, shows great potential in neuromorphic computing and logical operations. A flexible memristor with Al/TiOx/Al/polyethylene terephthalate structure was developed to investigate the synergistic effect from oxygen vacancy, H2O molecule, and NaCl. The forming-free resistive switching behavior observed in the flexible memristor is sensitive to NaCl and H2O molecules and can be used for weight update in online learning.
