Above-room-temperature strong intrinsic ferromagnetism in 2D van der Waals Fe3GaTe2 with large perpendicular magnetic anisotropy

Gaojie Zhang et al.

Summary: We report a two-dimensional intrinsic ferromagnetic crystal Fe3GaTe2 with strong ferromagnetism above room temperature and large perpendicular magnetic anisotropy. This crystal exhibits record-high Curie temperature, high saturation magnetic moment, large PMA energy density, and large anomalous Hall angle at room temperature. Room-temperature anomalous Hall devices and direct magnetic domains imaging based on Fe3GaTe2 nanosheet have been realized.

High Curie temperature and large perpendicular magnetic anisotropy in two-dimensional half metallic OsI3 monolayer with quantum anomalous Hall effect

Xiaotian Fang et al.

Summary: In this study, the electronic structure and magnetic properties of a two-dimensional (2D) OsI3 monolayer were investigated using first-principles calculations. The results show that the monolayer exhibits various orbital orderings and magnetic states, and can be modulated by strain to control magnetic anisotropy and Curie temperature, indicating its potential application in spintronics.

A high-temperature quantum anomalous Hall effect in electride gadolinium monohalides

Chen Chen et al.

Summary: This paper explores a new class of two-dimensional electrides, GdX, predicting their potential to exhibit quantum anomalous Hall effect with in-plane or out-of-plane magnetization. The spin polarization of interstitial electrons enhances ferromagnetism, while an external magnetic field can induce out-of-plane magnetization for the QAHE.
