Enhancement of the photocatalytic response of Cu-doped TiO2 nanotubes induced by the addition of strontium

Summary: In this study, the influence of adding strontium to Cu-doped TiO2 nanotubes on the photocatalytic performance was investigated. The results showed that adding strontium within a certain range resulted in the formation of Sr-O-Ti entities on the surface of the nanotubes, leading to an enhanced photocatalytic response.

Constructing interfacial active sites in Ru/g-C3N4-x photocatalyst for boosting H2 evolution coupled with selective benzyl-alcohol oxidation

Summary: Engineering interfacial active sites in metal modified semiconductor photocatalysts is a challenging task. In this study, Ru/g-C3N4-x photocatalyst with small Ru nanoparticles anchored on defective g-C3N4-x nanoflakes is prepared. The photocatalyst exhibits excellent performance in hydrogen evolution and selective oxidation of benzyl alcohol, attributed to the synergy of interfacial Ru sites and VN defects on g-C3N4-x.

The photocatalyst exhibited distinct advantages of full solar spectral absorption, efficient charge separation, and high stability, and showed excellent performance in converting benzyl alcohol to benzaldehyde accompanied with H2O2 production.

Ti3+ doped V2O5/TiO2 catalyst for efficient selective catalytic reduction of NOx with NH3
