Insights into homeobox B9: a propeller for metastasis in dormant prostate cancer progenitor cells

Yi Sui et al.

Summary: The study identified HOXB9 as a critical regulator of metastatic mPCSC behavior in prostate cancer. This occurs through altering the expression of a panel of CSC growth- and invasion/metastasis-related genes via TGF beta signaling. Targeting HOXB9 may be a potential novel therapeutic strategy for prostate cancer.
