CD146 Delineates an Interfascicular Cell Sub-Population in Tendon That Is Recruited during Injury through Its Ligand Laminin-α4

Summary: The study found that CD146+ cells migrate from the IFM to the injury site and participate in the healing process after tendon injury. Additionally, laminin-alpha 4 facilitates the recruitment of CD146+ cells at the injury site. Furthermore, a panel of circulating microRNAs dysregulated with tendon injury was identified.
