Boron difluoride complexes of phenothiazine, 9,10-dihydroacridine, and acridone derivatives with a pyridyl group were synthesized and characterized for their structures, dynamic conformational behaviors, and photophysical properties, including solid-state fluorescence. The effects of the oxidation state of the sulfur atom in the phenothiazine derivatives on their properties were also clarified.
