Largely improved thermal conductivity of HDPE composites by building a 3D hybrid fillers network

Mingjie Feng et al.

Summary: HDPE-g-MAH serves as a compatibilizer in ternary composites to reduce filler agglomeration, promote network structure formation, and enhance thermal conductivity. The mechanical performance and thermal conductivity of the composites are related to their morphology and crystallinity; although a high fraction of BN nanosheets can decrease the electrical conductivity of the composites, they have little effect on the electromagnetic interference shielding performance.

Heat resistant and thermally conductive polylactide composites achieved by stereocomplex crystallite tailored carbon nanofiber network

Ting Gu et al.

Summary: By incorporating PDLA and CNFs into PLLA, the heat resistance and thermal conductivity of the composite materials can be significantly improved. This is mainly attributed to the formation of SCs promoting the stacking of CNFs, leading to a compact physical network. The strategy of in-situ forming SCs may be an effective method for regulating the filler's thermal conductive network in PLLA-based polymers in the future.
