Iron oxide nanoparticles loaded smart hybrid hydrogel for anti-inflammatory drug delivery: Preparation and characterizations

Deepak K. Pandey et al.

Summary: In this study, a highly efficient drug uptake and delivery system was developed using an amphiphilic hybrid hydrogel based on a poly (ethylene glycol)-block-poly(propyleneglycol)-block-poly(ethylene glycol) (Pluronic P123) and choline acetate ionic liquid (IL). The resulting hydrogel exhibited biodegradable, stimuli-responsive, biocompatible, and self-healing characteristics. First-principles-based density functional theory calculations provided insights into the intermolecular interactions involved in the formation of the hybrid hydrogel.

Immobilization of a Zn4 complex on functionalized layered HUS-7: synthesis, structural investigation and catalytic activity

Divya Jadav et al.

Summary: In this study, a tetranuclear Zn (Zn-4) complex was immobilized on a novel layered Hiroshima University Silicate (HUS)-7. The modified HUS-7 was used as a catalyst for two different catalytic epoxide ring opening reactions, and it was found to be highly active and reusable, supporting the significance of the proposed functionalization.

Strong-field ionization of polyatomic molecules: ultrafast H atom migration and bond formation in the photodissociation of CH3OH

Rituparna Das et al.

Summary: Strong-field ionization induces complex phenomena like bond breaking, intramolecular hydrogen migration, and bond association in polyatomic molecules. The study investigates the H-atom migration and bond formation in CH3OH induced by intense femtosecond laser pulses, and also explores the dissociation processes of CH3OH+ using quantum chemical calculations. The combined approach of experiments and theory successfully explains the mechanism of intramolecular hydrogen migration and predicts the dissociative channels of singly-ionized CH3OH.
