Direct Phosphoric Acid Leaching of Bauxite Residue for Selective Scandium Extraction

Lamprini-Areti Tsakanika et al.

Summary: This study investigates the efficiency of phosphoric acid for scandium recovery from bauxite residue without pretreatment. A selective recovery rate of 40% was achieved under optimized conditions, with no leaching of iron, no gel formation, and no energy consumption.
