Fabrication of porous nickel (II)-based MOF@carbon nanofiber hybrid mat for high-performance non-enzymatic glucose sensing

Baban Dey et al.

Summary: Flexible carbon nanofiber-supported nickel (pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid)-MOFs (Ni(PDA) MOF@CNF) have been successfully prepared and used as binder-free electrodes for non-enzymatic glucose detection. The Ni(PDA) MOF with a porous structure promotes the interaction between active centers and glucose molecules, leading to enhanced electrocatalytic performance. The Ni(PDA) MOF@CNF electrode exhibits high sensitivity, low detection limit, wide linear range, and short response time, and shows excellent selectivity against interference from other bio-compounds. Furthermore, the electrode demonstrates excellent storage stability. The Ni(PDA) MOF@CNF electrode holds promise for glucose and lactate monitoring.
