Medication Order Errors at Hospital Admission Among Children With Medical Complexity

Kevin Blaine et al.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate medication order errors (MOEs) occurring at hospital admission for children with medical complexity (CMC) and to identify the demographic and clinical risk factors associated with MOEs in CMC. The study found that MOEs are common in CMC at hospital admission, with incorrect dose and omitted medication being the most common types of errors. Children receiving baclofen are at a high risk of experiencing MOEs.
