Enhanced electrical and magnetic properties of samarium substituted spinel ferrites

Salma Aman et al.

Summary: The study aims to verify experimentally obtained results by exploring the magnetic, structural, and direct current (DC)-electrical properties of samarium (Sm3+) doped barium ferrite samples. The samples exhibit a single phase cubic structure according to X-ray diffraction (XRD) investigation. Two-probe tests were conducted to estimate DC resistivity (rho(dc)) and Curie temperature (T-c), and magnetization-applied field (M-H) loops were used to observe magnetic properties. The evolution of anisotropic constant is found to be analogous to that of coercivity. The synthesized barium ferrites are confirmed to be useful for high-density magnetic storage applications.

Summary: The sonochemical reaction approach was used to synthesize NiGdxFe2-xO4 nanoferrites with different compositions. Various characterization techniques were employed to investigate the optical, magnetic, electrical, and structural properties of the nanoferrites. The addition of Gd to the nanoparticles increased their dielectric characteristics and exerted an influence on their magnetic behavior. The results provide important insights into the synthesis and properties of these nanoferrites.

Magnetic, dielectric and structural properties of spinel ferrites synthesized by sol-gel method

Abdul Hakeem et al.

Summary: The study focused on the effects of ytterbium doping on structural, electrical and magnetic properties of Mn-ferrites, demonstrating an increase in coercivity and a decrease in remanence and saturation magnetization. Ytterbium incorporation also led to a reduction in both real and imaginary parts of permittivity, while enhancing the impedance of the ferrite lattice. The results suggest that these compounds are suitable for microwave absorption applications.

The study of structural, magnetic and dielectric properties of spinel ferrites for microwave absorption applications

Kashif Younas Butt et al.

Summary: The research involved the preparation of spinel ferrites via the sol-gel route and their characterization under various techniques, revealing their cubic structures and different properties in terms of microwave, magnetic, structural, and electrical behavior. The impedance increased with the augmentation of rare earth ions, while magnetic properties decreased with the substitution of rare earth contents. Microwave properties exhibited a gradual decrease in permittivity and permeability values with increasing frequency, suggesting potential applications in microwave absorption.

The impact of highly paramagnetic Gd3+ cations on structural, spectral, magnetic and dielectric properties of spinel nickel ferrite nanoparticles

Asima Anwar et al.

Summary: In this study, Gd3+ substituted nickel spinel ferrite (NiGdxFe2-xO4) nanoparticles were successfully fabricated and characterized via XRD, FESEM, and EDX spectrographs. The dielectric properties were explained using Debye-relaxation theory and Koop's model. The magnetic parameters variations were attributed to rare earth cations substitutions and other factors like spin canting and exchange energy. The low coercivity values suggest potential applications of NiGdxFe(2-x)O(4) nanoparticles in high-frequency data storage devices.
