The multimarginal optimal transport formulation of adversarial multiclass classification

Nicolas Garcia Trillos et al.

Summary: This study examines a family of adversarial multiclass classification problems and provides equivalent reformulations using two different approaches. The results reveal the geometric structure of these problems and extend previous findings in binary classification. Furthermore, computational implications suggest that our solutions can recover optimal classification rules and adversarial strategies for the original problem.

What is a stochastic Hamiltonian process on finite graph? An optimal transport answer

Jianbo Cui et al.

Summary: This article presents a definition of stochastic Hamiltonian process on finite graphs via density dynamics in Wasserstein manifold, demonstrating its existence in classical discrete problems such as the optimal transport problem, Schrodinger equation, and Schrodinger bridge problem. The stationary and periodic properties of Hamiltonian processes are also investigated within the framework of the Schrodinger bridge problem.

Hopf-Cole transformation via generalized Schrodinger bridge problem

Flavien Leger et al.

Summary: In this study, generalized Hopf-Cole transformations motivated by the Schrödinger bridge problem are analyzed as boundary value Hamiltonian systems on the Wasserstein space. It is proven that these transformations are symplectic submersions in the Wasserstein symplectic geometry, leading to energy splitting inequalities. The research is published by Elsevier Inc.

GEOMETRIC HYDRODYNAMICS AND INFINITE-DIMENSIONAL NEWTON'S EQUATIONS

Boris Khesin et al.

Summary: In this paper, the geodesic approach to ideal hydrodynamics is revisited and a geometric framework for Newton's equations on groups of diffeomorphisms and spaces of probability densities is presented. This framework is general enough to encompass equations of compressible and incompressible fluid dynamics, magnetohydrodynamics, shallow water systems, and equations of relativistic fluids. The authors illustrate this with selected examples and new results, employing tools such as infinite-dimensional information geometry, optimal transport, the Madelung transform, and the formalism of symplectic and Poisson reduction.
