Summary: In this study, a high-efficiency microwave absorber was prepared by decorating pomelo peel-carbon with Ni0.5Co0.5Fe2O4 particles using a simple physical blending method. The absorber exhibited a skeleton structure formed by biomass carbon (BC), which improved the conductive loss and extended the propagation path of electromagnetic waves. The absorber also had a high quantity of defects and heterogeneous interfaces, which contributed to interfacial polarization and dipole polarization. Additionally, the good dispersion of Ni0.5Co0.5Fe2O4 particles on BC facilitated the combination of dielectric and magnetic properties, resulting in impedance matching.
