Therapeutic efficacy and cardioprotection of nucleolin-targeted doxorubicin-loaded ultrasound nanobubbles in treating triple-negative breast cancer

Kejing Fang et al.

Summary: The AS1411-DOX-NBs showed enhanced tumour cell-killing ability in vitro by increasing the active uptake of drugs, and significantly inhibited the growth of TNBC xenografts while maintaining the weight and health of the mice. Echocardiography and pathological examination confirmed that AS1411-DOX-NBs effectively induced tumour tissue apoptosis and necrosis while reducing DOX-induced cardiotoxicity.

The Anti-Proliferative Activity of Coordination Compound-Based ZnO Nanoparticles as a Promising Agent Against Triple Negative Breast Cancer Cells

Hana Stepankova et al.

Summary: This study focuses on the potential use of coordination compound-based zinc oxide nanoparticles for treating triple negative breast cancer cells. The nanoparticles showed selective cytotoxicity towards TNBrCa cells, affecting their metabolism and morphology leading to cell death. The morphology, size, and zinc content of the nanoparticles appear to be crucial properties for their future therapeutic potential in TNBrCa.
