Psychosocial Factors Predicting Resilience in Family Caregivers of Children with Cancer: A Cross-Sectional Study

Summary: The study aimed to identify predictors of resilience in family caregivers of children with cancer. The findings showed that family caregivers of children with cancer reported high levels of resilience, positively associated with quality of life, psychological well-being, and education level. Factors negatively associated with resilience included depression, anxiety, and caregiver burden. Married and Catholic family caregivers had higher resilience scores.

Caregiver's Opinions on the Design of the Screens of a Future Gamified Mobile Application for Self-Management of Type 1 Diabetes in Children in Saudi Arabia

Summary: The study aimed to design screens for a future gamified mobile application for self-management of type 1 diabetes in children based on caregivers' opinions at King Fahad Hospital Diabetes Center in Saudi Arabia. A questionnaire was distributed to 100 caregivers, with 65% meeting the inclusion criteria. The main findings included design of 13 screens with features such as caring for a character, challenging friends, points system, reminders for appointments and medication injections, and tips for medication adherence and healthy habits. The screens were designed to motivate children with type 1 diabetes to improve health behaviors and were culturally adapted for Arabic users.
