The uptake behavior of acid dye on silk fabric under laminar flow in a coloration circular pipe

Yang-Yang Zhu et al.

Summary: This study explored the uptake behavior of acid dye molecules on silk fabric under laminar flow conditions. The effects of coloration liquid Reynolds number and velocity distribution on dye uptake were investigated and optimized. The results showed that controlling the flow of coloration liquid in laminar flow was beneficial for protecting the substrate, improving dye utilization, shortening coloration duration, and reducing pollutant discharge, thus achieving an efficient, energy conservation, and cleaner coloration process.

Sustainable color stripping of cotton substrate dyed with reactive dyes in a developed UV/K2S2O8 photocatalytic system

Jia-Ming He et al.

Summary: An effective, sustainable, and energy-saving system and method for color stripping of reactive dyes on cotton substrate was established for the first time in a dipping manner through UV irradiation of potassium persulfate in an aqueous system. The system showed great efficiency in decolorizing various reactive dyes on cotton substrate with high selectivity and achieved color stripping ratios above 90.0% with a recommended process. The color stripping process on the substrate was successfully traced and explored using FT-IR and SEM analysis, along with a proposed working mechanism of the system.

Optimization of Kiloampere Peltier Current Lead Using Orthogonal Experimental Design Method

Linying Liu et al.

Summary: Reducing heat leakage is crucial for practical superconducting devices, and the coupling effect between the radius and length of Bi2Te3 is the key factor affecting the heat leakage of Peltier current leads. Numerical simulations suggest that multiterminal solutions are better for kiloampere current leads.
