Spin direction tunable topological transition in two-dimensional frustrate antiferromagnetic triangular lattice T-FeO2 monolayer

Bingwen Zhang et al.

Summary: In this paper, a stable 2D noncollinear antiferromagnetic material T-FeO2 is predicted and its magnetic phase transition behavior is studied using Monte Carlo simulations. The possibility of inducing a nontrivial topological phase transition by tuning the spin direction is also demonstrated.

Spirals and skyrmions in antiferromagnetic triangular lattices

Wuzhang Fang et al.

Summary: In this study, realizations of spirals and skyrmions in two-dimensional antiferromagnets with a triangular lattice on an inversion-symmetry-breaking substrate were investigated. The adsorption of transition-metal atoms on monolayers of MoS2, WS2, or WSe2 was studied to obtain interaction parameters using first-principles calculations. Results showed that even weak Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interactions can lead to the appearance of skyrmion lattices, but their stability may be hindered by magnetic anisotropy.

Summary: The study reveals that in two-dimensional, bidisperse colloidal glasses and supercooled liquids, the anharmonicity of in-cage vibrations and effective spring constants show non-monotonic variations with increasing interparticle depletion attraction strength.
