The Current Status of MOF and COF Applications

Ralph Freund et al.

Summary: The amalgamation of different disciplines at the heart of reticular chemistry has broadened the boundaries of chemistry. Reticular design enables precise prediction of crystalline framework structures, tunability of chemical composition, and fine-tuning of material properties in metal-organic frameworks and covalent organic frameworks. Leveraging the unique properties of reticular materials has led to significant advances in both fundamental and applied research.

Investigation of the MOF adsorbents and the gas adsorptive separation mechanisms

Mohammadreza Fakhraei Ghazvini et al.

Summary: Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) have been rapidly developing in the field of adsorption studies due to their high pore volume and high porosity, and the adsorption-based separation mechanisms are being investigated. The size exclusion, difference in affinity, and adsorption rate play key roles in governing adsorption-based separation, and recent advancements in MOFs' chemistry and structural characteristics have been studied. Furthermore, the applications of MOFs in carbon dioxide capture and methane storage have been explored to reveal the high potential of MOFs in separation technologies.

Assessment of pre-industrial to present-day anthropogenic climate forcing in UKESM1

Fiona M. O'Connor et al.

Summary: This study quantifies and analyzes the changes in anthropogenic effective radiative forcings using the UKESM1 model, showing that greenhouse gases and ozone precursor gases are the main climate forcers, while negative forcings also come from aerosols, ozone precursors, and land use changes. Including interactions between different components of the Earth system is crucial for accurately quantifying these forcings.
