Immunoinformatics-guided designing of epitope-based subunit vaccine from Pilus assembly protein of Acinetobacter baumannii bacteria

Soumya Ranjan Mahapatra et al.

Summary: This study aimed to characterize the pilus assembly protein of A. baumannii and identify potential epitopes for vaccine development. Multiple antigenic B and T cell epitopes were recognized using bioinformatics tools, and selected based on their binding efficiency. A vaccine chimera was created by linking these epitopes with appropriate linkers and adjuvant. Homology modeling, molecular docking, and immune simulation were carried out to validate the efficacy of the vaccine construct.

B and T cell epitope-based peptides predicted from clumping factor protein of Staphylococcus aureus as vaccine targets

Jyotirmayee Dey et al.

Summary: Staphylococcus aureus infection poses a global threat due to its highly debilitating nature and resistance to antimicrobial medicines. The study identified potential vaccine candidates from the Clumping factor surface proteins and designed a multi-epitope vaccine chimera. Molecular dynamics simulations confirmed the stability of the structure for further analysis.

Immunoinformatics and molecular docking studies reveal a novel Multi-Epitope peptide vaccine against pneumonia infection

Soumya Ranjan Mahapatra et al.

Summary: A novel multi-epitope vaccine targeting the highly immunodominant type 3 fimbrial protein of Klebsiella pneumoniae was developed using immunoinformatics techniques. The vaccine showed high potential for stimulating B and T-cell immune responses against pneumonia infection, but experimental immunological studies are necessary to confirm its viability as a commercial vaccine.
