Summary: This study investigated the learning curve and survival rate of the direct anterior approach (DAA) for total hip arthroplasty (THA) in the Netherlands. The results showed that there was a higher risk of revision for patients undergoing the DAA for the first 50 cases per surgeon, and this risk was 30% increased between 50 and 100 cases, but not statistically significant. The revision rate reached a steady state after 100 cases, indicating that the learning curve for DAA is around 100 cases.
