Summary: Defects have a significant impact on the plastic properties of materials. Nanopores can facilitate inelastic deformation and collapse. The center axial direction of the nanopore determines the activated slip system. Shear stress is highly concentrated in the elastic region before plastic deformation, and then attenuates during inelastic deformation and nanopore collapse.

Summary: The melting temperatures and densities of Fe-Ni alloys in the liquid state under high-pressure conditions are crucial for understanding the composition and thermal structure of the Earth's core. Experimental measurements on Fe-11Ni-18Cr alloy show that its melting temperature under shock loading is about 1000 K lower than previous measurements. The addition of Ni and Cr has a minimal effect on the melting curve and density of Fe in the liquid state. This suggests the need for sufficient light elements in the outer core.

Two distinct droplet deformation regimes, governed by incompressible flow or shock waves, have been identified. Summary: A new constitutive expression based on Cauchy's stress tensor has been discovered, which emphasizes pressure and shear stress. The expression takes into account atomic solid-state phase changes and shear-induced plasticity in crystalline cells. The thermo-mechanical system describes the material's constitutive response with pressure separated from plasticity, without specific volume restrictions. It has been shown that in elastic copper, the ratio of heat to shear work approaches zero at low temperatures and exceeds one as temperature approaches melting. Plastic deformation, dominated by dissipative shear stresses, heats the material while excluding phase changes caused by hydrostatic pressure.
