Electrochemical and structural investigation of copper phthalocyanine: Application in the analysis of kidney disease biomarker

Kamonwad Ngamchuea et al.

Summary: An electrochemical sensor using copper(II) phthalocyanine (CuPc) as the electrode material was developed for the fast and highly sensitive detection of creatinine, an important biomarker of kidney diseases. The electrochemically activated CuPc showed high sensitivity, excellent reproducibility, low limit of detection, and high tolerance to possible interfering species.

Electrochemical detection of Flutamide as an anticancer drug with gold nanoparticles modified glassy carbon electrode in the presence of prostate cancer cells

Afshan Mehrabi et al.

Summary: A novel electrochemical sensor based on gold nanoparticles modified glassy carbon electrode (AuNPs/GCE) was constructed to detect Flutamide. The electrochemical parameters such as Flutamide concentration, pH, and scan rate were optimized. The detection limit was calculated as 1.5 nM and the linear range for Flutamide concentration detection was 1-600 mu M using DPV. The fabricated sensor was successfully applied to detect Flutamide in cell culture media containing prostate cancer cells with appropriate precision.

Electropolymerization as an electrochemical preconcentration approach for the determination of melamine in milk samples

Zahra Esmaeily et al.

Summary: In this study, electropolymerization was employed as a novel preconcentration approach for the electrochemical determination of melamine on a glassy carbon electrode. The developed method showed good calibration sensitivity and a low limit of detection, enabling effective melamine detection in real milk samples. The results obtained highlight the potential of using a simple strategy for designing novel electroanalytical methods.

Electrochemical determination of boron using the signal suppression of mannitol on a gold nanoparticle coated p-Aminothiophenol polymer electrode

Sener Saglam et al.

Summary: A modified electrode, GC/AuNPs/PATP electrode, was developed for the indirect electrochemical determination of boron, showing good electroactivity for boron determination and linear calibration curves within the range of 5-50 mg L-1. The proposed square wave voltammetry method allowed for quantitative recovery of boron in the presence of potentially interfering ions in water.

Urea-induced supramolecular self-assembly strategy to synthesize wrinkled porous carbon nitride nanosheets for highly-efficient visible-light photocatalytic degradation

Rui Li et al.

Summary: The study successfully fabricated wrinkled porous g-C3N4 nanosheets through hydrothermal annealing, which exhibited highly efficient visible-light photocatalytic degradation. The superior photocatalytic activity is mainly attributed to the urea-induced larger specific surface area, better light harvesting ability, faster transfer, and more advanced separation efficiency of the photogenerated electron-hole pairs.
