Effect of Substrate Temperature on Photoelectric Properties of AZO Thin Films

Yanfang Zhao et al.

Summary: In this study, Al-doped ZnO thin films were deposited on quartz glass substrates using RF magnetron sputtering. The effects of substrate temperature on the structure, morphology, electrical, and optical properties of the films were investigated. It was found that the Al doping did not change the structure of the ZnO films, which exhibited a hexagonal wurtzite structure with preferred c-axis orientation. The films showed optimal properties at a substrate temperature of 150 degrees C, including good electrical conductivity and high transmittance in the visible light region.

Quinary Nanocrystal-Based Passivation Strategy for High Efficiency and Stable Perovskite Photovoltaics

Teoman Ozturk et al.

Summary: By using quinary kesterite nanocrystals as passivation agents, defect states at the grain boundaries of perovskite films are greatly reduced, promoting continuity between adjacent grains and improving hole transport ability while suppressing interfacial recombination. This approach has led to high efficiency and excellent stability in perovskite solar cells.

Interface modification to achieve high-efficiency and stable perovskite solar cells

Yinghui Wu et al.

Summary: Organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells have achieved relatively high power conversion efficiencies in recent years. However, defects in the perovskite layers are critical to the performance of the devices. By passivating the interface defects, the efficiency and stability of the perovskite solar cells can be significantly improved.

Highly efficient (200) oriented MAPbI3 perovskite solar cells

Ruixue Lu et al.

Summary: This study successfully fabricated tetragonal (200) oriented MAPbI(3) films and compared them with traditional (110) oriented films. The results showed that tetragonal (200) oriented films had larger crystal grain size, lower trap density, and better charge transfer properties. MAPbI(3) PSCs based on tetragonal (200) oriented films achieved a record efficiency of 20.22%.

Facile NaF Treatment Achieves 20% Efficient ETL-Free Perovskite Solar Cells

Faranak Sadegh et al.

Summary: In this study, sodium fluoride (NaF) was introduced as an interface layer in ETL-free perovskite solar cells (PSCs) to improve the energy level alignment and reduce charge recombination. The NaF layer effectively covered the rough FTO surface and reduced the work function, facilitating electron carrier collection. Additionally, some Na+ ions migrated into the absorber layer, leading to larger grains and passivation of the perovskite layer. The NaF-treated cells achieved an efficiency of 20% and maintained 94% of the initial efficiency after 500 hours of light soaking at 55 degrees C, indicating enhanced interface passivation.

Perovskite solar cells with atomically coherent interlayers on SnO2 electrodes

Hanul Min et al.

Summary: By introducing an interlayer between the electron-transporting and perovskite layers in perovskite solar cells, researchers have successfully enhanced charge extraction and transport from the perovskite, leading to higher power conversion efficiency and fewer interfacial defects. The coherent interlayer allowed the fabrication of devices with a certified efficiency of 25.5%, which maintained about 90% of its initial efficiency even after continuous light exposure for 500 hours. The findings provide guidelines for designing defect-minimizing interfaces in metal halide perovskites and electron-transporting layers.
