An investigation of temperature and frequency-dependent dielectric response of paramagnetic Co3O4@SiO2 core-shell-structured nanocomposites

S. Divya et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the dielectric response of Co3O4@SiO2 nanocomposites in a wide frequency and temperature range. Various techniques, including XRD, FT-IR, FT-Raman, XPS, TEM, and VSM, were employed to analyze the structure, functional groups, chemical states, crystallinity, and magnetic properties of the materials. The results show non-Debye relaxation behavior and positive temperature coefficient of resistance. The charge carriers exhibit hopping behavior within potential wells at high frequencies. A R [Q(R (CR))] circuit was found to be the best fit for the equivalent circuit analysis. The frequency-dependent conductivity follows Jonscher's power law, and the relationship between dc conductivity and reciprocal temperature is described by the Arrhenius equation.

Fabrication, structural, morphological, and optical features of Mn2O3 polyhedron nano-rods and Mn2O3/reduced graphene oxide hybrid nanocomposites

Islam Gomaa et al.

Summary: Mn2O3 and Mn2O3/reduced graphene oxide (rGO) composites were prepared using hydrothermal and sono-chemical methods. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Transmission electron microscope, Fourier transform infra-red, and Raman spectroscopy. The addition of rGO sheets to the matrix resulted in a decrease in particle sizes. Optical properties were measured using a UV-visible spectrometer, and the optical band gap was tuned to a lower value of about 1.57 eV. The results showed that the optical and morphological structure of Mn2O3 were enhanced by the addition of rGO sheets.

Investigation of Sm2O3 effect on opto-electrical parameters and dielectric properties of some fluorophosphate glasses

R. M. Ahmed et al.

Summary: The study showed that increasing Sm2O3 content in the glass matrix leads to a gradual decrease in penetration depth and reduces the ability of visible light to transmit through the glasses. The lowest visible solar transmittance was observed for glass with the highest Sm2O3 content. The nonlinear optical susceptibility and refractive index of the glasses were influenced by the Sm2O3 content.
