Insulator-to-semiconductor conversion of solution-processed ultra-wide bandgap amorphous gallium oxide via hydrogen annealing

Diki Purnawati et al.

Summary: Developing solution-processed ultra-wide bandgap amorphous oxide semiconductor is a challenging task. In this study, we successfully converted a-Ga2O(x) from an insulator to a semiconductor through hydrogen annealing, which was reflected by the performance of the thin-film transistor. The incorporation of hydrogen acted as a shallow donor and increased the carrier concentration.

Vibrational effect on vacancy concentration in diamond: The density-functional-theory calculation

Zohan Syah Fatomi et al.

Summary: The vacancy concentration of C-vacancy in diamond was calculated using density functional theory (DFT). The phonon density of states (P-h-DOS) was found to significantly contribute to the vacancy concentration by softening on the vacancy side, increasing it up to 106 times compared to neglecting the vibrational effect.
