Adaptive periodic-disturbance observer based composite control for SGCMG gimbal servo system with rotor vibration

Yongjian Yang et al.

Summary: This paper proposes an adaptive periodic-disturbance observer (APDO)-based composite control scheme for achieving accurate velocity-tracking control of the single gimbal control moment gyro (SGCMG). It introduces a modified periodic-disturbance observer (PDO) to estimate both the fundamental wave and harmonics of the rotor vibration. To ensure estimation accuracy under variable rotor speed, an APDO is proposed by combining an adaptive frequency estimator with the modified PDO. The proposed APDO-based composite control scheme, integrated with a PI controller, effectively reduces the influence of rotor vibration, friction, and parameter uncertainties, thereby improving control accuracy. Performance and stability analyses demonstrate accurate estimation under arbitrary initial conditions, and numerical and hardware-in-the-loop simulation results support the robustness and effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

Disturbance observer-based controller design for uncertain nonlinear parameter-varying systems

Pingfang Zhu et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the design problem of a disturbance observer-based controller (DOBC) for a class of uncertain nonlinear parameter-varying (NPV) systems with unknown uncertainty and unmeasurable state variables. An efficient scheme is proposed to treat the unknown uncertainty as an unknown disturbance, and a novel observer is presented to estimate the unmeasurable state variables and unknown disturbance. The SAPD conditions for designing the observer and controller are established using linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) and can be effectively solved using sum-of-squares (SOS) techniques.

Summary: This research is focused on the coordinated control of high-order fully actuated multi-agent systems (HOFA-MASs). A predictive control strategy is developed to achieve coordination, stability, and output consensus in HOFA-MASs. By introducing a Diophantine equation, an incremental HOFA prediction model is constructed, and a cost function is minimized through predictive control design to obtain optimal coordination controllers with simple computation.
