I.p.-injected cationic liposomes are retained and accumulate in peritoneally disseminated tumors

Rie Ando-Matsuoka et al.

Summary: Intraperitoneal chemotherapy using cationic liposomes is effective in targeting peritoneally disseminated tumors and improving drug retention in the peritoneal cavity. The liposomes are able to selectively accumulate in tumor cells and show minimal systemic adverse effects. This approach could be a promising strategy for the treatment of peritoneally disseminated cancers in the future.

HIV persistence in lymph nodes

Riddhima Banga et al.

Summary: HIV persists in various compartments of the body, with T follicular helper cells in lymph nodes being identified as potential sources of replication-competent virus. Further research is needed to fully understand the mechanisms regulating HIV persistence within lymph nodes.
