Biosynthesis of Novel Silver Nanoparticles UsingEryngium thyrsoideum BoissExtract and Comparison of their Antidiabetic Activity with Chemical Synthesized Silver Nanoparticles in Diabetic Rats

Fariba Mahmoudi et al.

Summary: In this study, silver nanoparticles were synthesized using a green method with Eryngium campestre Boissaqueous extract, and with a chemical method. The nanoparticles were characterized using various analyses. The silver nanoparticles showed hypoglycemic effects on diabetic rats without toxic effects on hematological parameters and liver and kidney function in intact rats. Silver nanoparticles (1) exhibited better protective effects on liver function in diabetic rats compared to silver nanoparticles (2).

Antidiabetic effects of the ethanolic extract of Allium saralicum R.M. Fritsch on streptozotocin-induced diabetes in a mice model

Simin Fazelipour et al.

Summary: The study found that Allium saralicum ethanolic extract significantly reduced blood glucose levels in diabetic mice and restored antioxidant enzyme levels. It also improved hepatic and renal function as well as hematological parameters, alleviating organ damage.
