Li decorated heteroborospherene C4B32 as high capacity and reversible hydrogen storage media: A DFT study

Pingping Liu et al.

Summary: In this work, the adsorption of H2 molecules on heteroborospherene C4B32 decorated with alkali atoms (Li) was studied. It was found that Li-decorated C4B32 can stably adsorb and store hydrogen molecules, demonstrating promising potential for reversible hydrogen storage.

Adsorption ability of pristine C24N24 nanocage promising as high hydrogen storage material: A DFT-D3 investigation

Benjawan Kaewruksa et al.

Summary: The adsorption behavior of hydrogen molecules on the surface of C24N24 nanocage was studied using three different DFT methods. The adsorption strength was found to depend on the number of hydrogen molecules adsorbed. The most stable adsorption configuration was observed to be a fully covered dissociative chemisorption, and a bilayer structure was also observed. The (H-2)(24)/CNNC system showed a high hydrogen storage capacity.

Efficient hydrogen storage on Al decorated C24N24: a DFT study

Mehdi D. Esrafili et al.

Summary: The study investigates the H-2 adsorption properties and storage on the Al-decorated porphyrin-like small porous C24N24 cluster using density functional theory calculations. It was found that the Al6C24N24 cluster can adsorb up to five H-2 molecules, with an average adsorption energy of -0.30 eV, demonstrating potential for reversible H-2 storage under normal conditions.
