Experimental study on the effect of diluent gas on H2/CO/air mixture turbulent premixed flame

Guo-Peng Zhang et al.

Summary: The study examines the effects of different diluents on the propagation characteristics of H2/CO/air mixture turbulent premixed flames. Increasing hydrogen fraction, turbulence intensity, or equivalence ratio leads to higher ST and ut. CO2 dilution shows a stronger inhibitory effect on ST compared to N2 dilution.

Effect of diluent gas on propagation and explosion characteristics of hydrogen-rich syngas laminar premixed flame

Guo-Peng Zhang et al.

Summary: This study experimentally investigated the combustion characteristics of a hydrogen-rich syngas premixed flame with different diluents. The results showed that the flame propagation speed was lower under CO2 dilution but had a higher flame acceleration effect, and as the dilution increased, the rate of pressure rise and the maximum combustion explosion pressure gradually decreased.

Hydrogen-rich syngas production by the three-dimensional structure of LaNiO3 catalyst from a blend of acetic acid and acetone as a bio-oil model compound

Chenlong Liu et al.

Summary: This study investigates the conversion of biomass bio-oil to hydrogen using a blend of acetic acid and acetone as a model compound. The 3D-LaNiO3 catalyst synthesized by a silica template method is found to have smaller crystal size and higher oxygen vacancies, enhancing its redox ability and resistance to coke deposition. The catalyst shows great activity in producing hydrogen-rich syngas, with the highest H2 gas yield observed at 600 degrees C and a steam/carbon mole ratio of 3. The stability of the perovskite structure and its ability to resist coke deposition contribute to the sustained catalytic activity.

Summary: The plasma gasification process is an innovative approach for waste management. This study developed a model based on Gibbs free energy minimization to evaluate the impact of various parameters on gas composition and hydrogen production. The results are particularly relevant for countries with coal reserves.

Summary: Experimental studies were conducted to investigate the structural characteristics and self-similar propagation of a syngas/air mixture turbulent premixed flame, revealing that the fluctuation of the pulsation radius at the flame front was affected by the hydrogen fraction and equivalence ratio. The accelerated propagation process of the flame exhibited self-similar characteristics.
