Tuning the co-catalyst loading for the optimization of thermo-photocatalytic hydrogen production over Cu/TiO2

F. Platero et al.

Summary: By tuning metal loading, we have optimized H-2 production using Cu/TiO2 catalyst in methanol thermo-photocatalytic reforming. Through in-situ FTIR studies, we found that formate formation and CO generation vary depending on the reforming experiment. Higher Cu content leads to higher H-2 yield due to the predominance of water-gas-shift reaction. Different optimum Cu contents are found for each reforming experiment.

Graphene Bridge for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution with Gold Nanocluster Co-Catalysts

Hanieh Mousavi et al.

Summary: The UV light photocatalytic activity of an Au101NC-AlSrTiO3-rGO nanocomposite was evaluated for H-2 production. The nanocomposite showed significantly enhanced photocatalytic activity compared to Au101NC-AlSrTiO3 and AlSrTiO3, resulting in a 12-fold and 64-fold increase in H-2 production rate, respectively. The enhanced activity was attributed to the small particle size and high loading of Au101NC, achieved through non-covalent binding to rGO.
